The 2nd Conference on Innovation in Technology and Engineering Science (CITES) is a biennial international conference held by Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Andalas. This conference open opportunity for experts and professionals to exchange new ideas in technology, engineering, science and industry. The 1st CITES was run in 2018 and successfully attended by six international keynote speakers and participated by more than 120 articles. The 2nd CITES invites original submissions in the areas of engineering from various countries.

The 2nd CITES will be held on 26 – 27 August 2020 in Padang, Indonesia, the capital city of West Sumatera Province. Padang City is well known for its Minangkabau culture, delicious cuisine and beautiful sunset beaches. Visitors can spend time for diving, snorkeling or boat travelling at many beautiful island such as Sikuai, Mandeh, and Mentawai. About 2 hours driving from this city, there is Pagaruyung palace, a beautiful historical objects that introduce visitors about Minangkabau traditions.
